Possible Bus Strike Contingency Plans
As you may be aware, the contract between New York City's school bus contractors and the workers of ATU Local 1181 expires on Friday, June 30.  If a new contract is not agreed upon, school bus workers, including drivers and escorts, may go on strike at midnight on June 30.  A strike would impact the summer school programs scheduled to meet on July 3 and the citywide summer school programs that begin on July 5.
